2060: Toward Net Zero

MGC believes that health, safety, and environmental (HSE) stewardship is more than a protocol, it’s a shared principle.

We empower our teams with knowledge to transform awareness into action through targeted initiatives that embed environmental responsibility into daily operations.

During the national giga project, we launched the Environment School to educate teams on the environmental impact of industrial activity and empower them with practical strategies to mitigate risks.

Complementing this effort, we launched another Initiative focusing on proactive waste management, enhancing hygiene across project sites while reducing environmental disruption and fostering safer, more efficient workspaces.

In alignment with the Saudi Green Initiative 2060, MGC reaffirms its commitment to reducing environmental impact and achieving net zero emissions.

By exploring the integration of renewable energy sources into our projects, from clean technologies to advancing low-carbon solutions, we are actively reimagining infrastructure in service of a greener, more resilient Saudi Arabia.

As part of our commitment to long-term environmental stewardship, MGC proudly supported the One Million Tree Initiative in the Buraidah Oasis. Aligned with the Pilgrim Experience Program (PEP), MGC rolled out two hajj-focused initiatives:

“We Serve You on Our Roads” — Mobile support units stationed along the Madinah–Makkah highway provide 24/7 roadside assistance (air conditioning, cold drinks, technical aid) to ensure comfort and safety for the Guests of Allah. Rubberized & Cool Pavement Initiative — Innovative pavement surfaces installed in Makkah’s sacred sites to reduce ground temperatures and improve walking comfort during Hajj season, enhancing the spiritual journey of the Guests of Allah.

In the national giga project, our CSR efforts brought new life to public areas in Al Bad’, restoring football fields and gathering spaces to promote health, recreation, and inclusion, while ensuring local communities benefit directly through labor engagement.

In partnership with the General Directorate of Water, we also established a Customer Service Center in Buraidah to enhance access to vital water services, respond swiftly to residents’ needs, and reinforce public well-being.
